Biography
Lisa Achilles is a 2007 graduate of Western Seminary with an MA in Counseling and a Registered Associate with the State of Oregon supervised by Dr. Norm Thiesen PH. D. LPC. She has experience with individuals and couples from a wide range of cultural backgrounds in private and community health settings. Lisa is passionate about helping clients explore healing and growth, leveraging strengths and building resilience while honoring and respecting her client’s values and beliefs.
Her approach in session is eclectic, helping clients accept what is out of their control while taking action to improve and enrich their lives. Practical homework between sessions as needed provides opportunities to explore, validate and refine growth and change.
Her current areas of focus and strength include:
Lisa and her spouse are empty nesters who enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, fostering shelter pets prior to adoption and hiking with their 2 dogs. Both she and her husband are Ironman Triathletes.
Because of the collaborative nature of counseling, it is very important that you are comfortable with the therapist that you choose. Please feel free to schedule a 15-minute phone consultation before your first session.
