Biography

Every person experiences pain in life- stress, loss, addiction, isolation, betrayal, confusion- and must decide how to respond and relate to this pain. At times we are successful at doing this on our own, and other times we need a little (or maybe even a lot of) help.

Counseling can be one of the best places to receive this kind of help. It is a unique relationship that requires courage and vulnerability, and offers the chance for insight and true growth. As your counselor, I will walk with you as you look at your pain and process its impact in your life. I will help you learn to accept it as an important part of your story, and develop strategies for coping when things get tough. I will encourage and support you as you develop new dreams and goals. And we will do all of this at your pace. Together we will seek healing and growth in order to enable you to live life in a way that aligns with your values and beliefs.

About me:
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Oregon. I obtained my MA in Counseling from Western Seminary in 2014. I enjoy working with individual adolescents and adults from all walks of life, and would love to meet you. I currently live in Portland with my husband, our 2 daughters, and our rescue dog. I absolutely love the Northwest rain, being able to escape to the coast or hike in the Gorge and eating good food with friends.
