Biography
I believe that who we are today is shaped by a combination of our past experiences, relationships, and cultural influences. By exploring these areas, we can gain deeper insight into why we think, feel, and act the way we do. I help clients understand the roots of their experiences, how their upbringing has shaped their choices, relationships, and self-perception, and how they can use this understanding to foster meaningful change.
My approach integrates Family Systems Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Together, these modalities help cultivate present-moment awareness, challenge unhealthy thought patterns, and encourage clients to live in alignment with their values.
Areas of focus and strengths:
A little bit about me: I’m licensed to practice counseling in the State of Oregon. I hold a master’s degree in Counseling from Western Seminary and a master’s degree in Education from University of California, Davis.
My background as a high school teacher gives me a unique perspective on the pressures faced by both students and parents. It was through these experiences, coupled with my own growth journey, that I transitioned to the counseling field. I’ve had the privilege of working with clients across a wide range of ages—from elementary school children to adults—in both group practice and school-based settings.
I was born and raised in San Francisco, but moved to Oregon to enjoy time away from the city. In my free time, I like to go on peaceful walks with my family and practice my creativity through drawing or knitting.
